Well, it's their choice, but if everyone made the same choice there would be no children and no future. Somebody has to have the children. So if you don't have the children, then the burden falls on someone else. Someone else has to sacrifice, so you can buy Prada. (note: This doesn't apply to women who have tried or cannot have children, only those who actively decide not to have children.)

When the Mrs. and I were not having any luck getting her pregnant, she went to her OB/Gyn who said, "Try harder!" All of our male friends wanted to know who the doctor was ;-)

I guess the point is that we both still love children even though we have no more of our own. Of course, we still expect parents to keep control of theirs and not allow them to be screaming brats in public. When we used to take our son to church, we always sat next to the exit into the other part of the building so one of us could take care of any fussing or crying without disturbing anyone else.

I have no children, but am always ready to assist pregnant ladies and mothers with small children.


There is however a limit, such as having to work extra hours because a co-worker just HAD TO take little Elijha and Megan to a soccer tournement.

Your premise seems to be that women should have children for the Fatherland.

If women don't have children for the Fatherland, who's going to?

And after we get done importing all of the Hispanics to make up for the children those women should have had, will there be much of a Fatherland left, or will we be calling it Patria and hailing the the newest Latin American dictator as our el Presidente?

My sister-in-law had 6 kids, and didn't do a great job raising them. One of them has been in and out of jail. Another one is in her early 20s and already has 4 children out-of-wedlock.

Go to any large city, find the low income neighborhood and you'll see it.

Except for the past 3 years, I've lived my entire life in either NYC or Chicago.

There are plenty of unsupervised children running around, but rarely do such children have more than one parent in common.

I'm talking about families where all the children are the natural or legally adopted children of the same two parents.

Clearly a woman who is having three or more children by three or more different men is not going to be a fit parent to even one child.

Thanks, but I'm used to the ham-fisted attempts, and they roll right off. Some people just have a bee in their bonnet on the subject, and can turn World Series threads into abortion threads ("Well, they might have had a decent shortstop if he hadn't been aborted...."). You just have to expect that sort of stuff around here. :)
