"n FR who are jumping to Tancredo's defense do not even live close to Miami,"

As long as Tancredo says something that's anti-hispanic, he'll remain their hero. Neither the city, nor the facts stand in the way of their blind alligence.

" with the majority"

The majority?? You mean this "majority" that didn't elect one g/d politician to office in 2006?? That 'majority'? OH, no, you must be speaking of the 'majority' that lost the freaking election to the socialistic democrats because of their hard-headed, one issue stand. How does it feel to be part of that 'majority' that's sitting out in the cold without a damn thing?

Yep, Tancredo got 58% in a hostile district. How many republicans did the open border, or Log Cabin Republicans elect. People held their nose to vote for many RINO's this time, won't happen next time. Keep your attitude and we will return to post depression congress.

Since this sub-thread seems to have spun off from my comment...

Try and relax a bit here. You can spend the next 2 years figuring out which sub-faction of the GOP lost more, but the bottom line is the DemoRATs won.

We could p--- and moan all day about whether a pro-enforcement population is really more pro-Tancredo or not or whatever, but it's irrelevant. The population at large isn't casting votes in Congress. Republicans of any variety aren't in charge of jack. It no longer matters whether your favorite Congresscritter is part of Tom's caucus or some other.

It's time to decide: is your faction the most important thing, or is the issue of illegal immigration itself more important?

So it seems.
Tancrdo's latest Hari Kari moment has caused the shrill to get shriller.

It's time to decide:

I decided a long time ago, it is time for that wimp in the White House to enforce the law, be has no intention of doing so, so I will support anyone that will put his feet to the fire. I am sick of these Republican at any price sellouts on FR. This President has ben an Abject failure and that is all there is to say on the subject.

For what good is it for a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul?

"so I will support anyone that will put his feet to the fire"

OK. I'm completely uninterested in personalities here, whether they're Tom's or W's, yours or mine. The goal is: enforce the border. Right?

The thing is, "anyone" can't do it, even a President. We need 238 of em in the House in order to do enforcement, 51 in the Senate (or more, due to filibusters) and well, W, he'd sign a strong bill just as readily as a crappy one IMO.

We don't have 238. We have, actually, fewer than we had before. So now we have a tactical problem: how to get enough Congressional votes to get enforcement, or at *least* to keep Pelosi from passing a flat-out amnesty.

I don't think you get there by trying to find as many targets as possible to insult. That's all.
