Memo to the dim awareness inhabiting the body of Cindy Sheehan:

The US military is being forced to move to Daechuri by the South Korean government. I'm sure the US would be happy to keep the HQ in Yongsan, where it has happily resided for 50 years.

But, that land in downtown Seoul is too valuable to the South Koreans. So, they asked us to move.

Cindy's beef is with the South Korean government, not with ours.

We can turn off our TVs and educate ourselves on US, corporatism, imperialism and militarism by reading such books as...Hegemony or Survival by Noam Chomsky.

This probably tells us all we need to know about Cindy Sheehan, since Noam Chomsky is an anarchist/socialist.

It is as if someone had recommended Das Kapital by Karl Marx, or Mein Kampf by Adolph Hitler. How much more do we need to know about the mindset of the person making the recommendation?

I was getting ready to go to bed when I came upon this brilliant commentary from an economist/military/warfare/history expert.

Traveling around the world these past months has given me an education about American history that majoring in the subject at UCLA never did.

Riiiight.... Why do I find it difficult to believe that the history dept. at UCLA teaches from a very 'Pro-American' perspective?

i was at humphreys for team spirit 83 and i wonder what the crap she's carpin about. the military will purchase the land for far more than it's worth. the locals will make bundles of cash working for the camp "fort after the expansion"

Please tell me again why "Mother" Sheehan, "Hanoi" Jane Fonda, John F'n Kerry, Jimmy Carter and Michael Moore aren't in jail cells awaiting execution?
