You mean ABC got the story wrong? How could that possibly be?

Presidents' children always seem to get into trouble or trouble finds them, and the Bush daughters are apparently continuing the trend.

Television footage showed the Bush daughters cheering on Argentina's most popular soccer club, Boca Juniors, on Sunday. Gotta wonder if they've ever cheered on an American team?

There was another report of a hold-up that is self-explanatory:
Rio thieves armed with grenades rob tourists. If the Embassy
didn't advise them to get out of, er, Dodge,
I'd be one PO'ed papa. Obviously the government cannot say so and one must question the motives of ABC pressing the story. ABC's editorial discretion could benefit from some investigative reporting.

The incident led to teasing by Argentine media about the twins' seemingly ineffective Secret Service bodyguards.Oh, teasing? The dining premise for 'unsavory help'? Or. . .clientele?
Sorry. . .no joke here. . .save for the 'joker' who next may want to test the premise of the joke; just for laughs of course.
Thanks, Argentinia. . .wish the 'twins' had screamed how bad the food was. ..and left. Of course, it would just be a joke. . .
Meantime, did the restaurantl 'catch the thief'? The managers wife. . (?).just joking! Their own Maitre D'? Just kidding. . .Argentine 'security'. . .laugh/off. .. of course.
Perhaps I am just tired. . .but not in the mood to hear one more 'joke' from anyone who really. . .in their ignorant heart of hearts; thinks we are so deserving of even one more universal laugh.

It was pretty disgusting the way the ABC story made it sound like the girls were doing something wrong by daring to finish out their scheduled trip. They also included info about the girls being unprotected which could have compromised their safety.

It seems that at least 50% of the news is just made up anymore. Even here at FR, bogus stories are hashed and rehashed before we get word they've fooled us yet again. No matter how many times they play the same game, like Lucy holding that football for Charlie Brown, it seems almost impossible for most people not to fall for it. Maybe someday they will find a 'human gullibility for the media' gene that will explain it.

I would not want to be the head of that Secret Service detail. If somebody could get to the purse to take it, he could just as easily have inserted a bomb into the purse
