Most of your Giulani quotes are over 15 years old.

It's more then that. Obama does what a lot more politicians should do, and that's explain his positions in a logical, coherent fashion, confronts the arguements of the other side, and says why he disagrees. He's pretty good at actually explaining his position and treating his opponent with respect. It's a rare thing in politics these days, on either side.

Of course, it helps that he's a black Democrat, and thus the media never takes cheap shots at him, which makes it easier to do what he does. He's also good looking.

I almost always disagree with his conclusions, but I admire the way he explains himself. If we had a few folks that were as good at this as he is, we'd be in a much, much better position.

Actually, the one person who seems to have the same ability on our side is a non-politician: John Roberts. If he weren't Chief Justice, I'd sure like him in the Senate.

"Gen Tommy Franks, Newt, Haley Barbour, thats my list for starters"

This bunch right here has more gravitas in their little finger than all of the aformentioned crowd.

"Most of your Giulani quotes are over 15 years old."

What does that mean??? Someone makes a statement, and if it's old, it is to be disregarded? We are talking about core beliefs here, and he does not have any that I would subscribe to. I don't want any more RINO's!!!!!! I'm tired of holding my nose when I vote. Give me someone that is the real deal.

It means that no recent quotes to make the point could be found. If Rudy were so horrible, why couldn't the poster come up with anything more recent than 1989 or 1999?

Do old quotes change Giuliani's positions? Does a leopard change its spots?

Wow...the MSM media and these polls. You'd almost think that they want the Republican party to nominate a pro-gay, pro-abortion candidate so that no matter which major party a citizen votes for these two issues will be promoted.

Yep...the polls are just one big conspiracy to keep the liberal boot on the mans neck.....thats what a lot of FR's were saying right before the last election....this should help.

Whoso does not like it, is at liberty to find him/herself some other electorate.

Importing voters from Mexico has changed the electorate, but it doesn't seem to be working as some had hoped.

I say we start a "Republicans for Kerry" group and try to get Kerry the nomination again in 2008.

Yup. And if the wire were down to Rudy vs. Lurch, a lot of FReepers would go for Lurch. There's almost as much bashing towards Rudy as there is towards The Beast. IMOHO

Why not leave those issues up to the states. Too much is being pushed up underneath the federal umbrella.

My hot topics are natioanl security which to me, includes immigration and the sanctity of the Second Amendment.

"Nuff said!"

No it isn't. He's anti gun and I believe that the Second Amendment gaurds the United States Constitution.

"What has he (Obama) ever done to earn the esteem of the American people?"

Hell, isn't being born a Black Muslim enough to satisfy you?

He's certainly spoken on the record quite a bit over the past few years (Rudy, that is).

OK, I understand your point. Belay that last comment. Not only has Obama not done anything for two years, but the previous comment about how people want to rush to show how accepting they are of a black person has a lot to do with his "popularlity."
