You know, for a moment I started to take this seriously.

Then I saw who wrote it. The only thing that would make it crazier is if it was co-written by Jimmah and Pat. And I'm starting to believe it could happen.

Why would Stalin have Trotsky assassinated? Trotsky himself did it, right? Why would Hitler have Ernst Röhm assassinated? Röhm probably did it himself, right?

Oh well, Putin is innocent by the virtue of not having, shell we say, a perfect murder...

Then Germany and Japan obviously did not start the WWII - because they lost it. If Osama gets killed, then it will be a sure proof that he did not order 9-11 (why, to cause his own death?!)

Caught bank robbers should be immediately released - their misfortune is a proof that they have nothing to do with the robbery.

Insurance should be declared a scam if insured event did not happen. And so forth. It would be an interesting world to live in; kind of Orwellian 1984 on steroids.

Why would the Russian president, at the peak of his popularity, with his regime awash in oil revenue and himself playing a strong hand in world politics, risk a breach with every Western nation by ordering the public murder of a man who was more of a nuisance than a threat to his regime? ==

Very good question. Litvinenko was indeed just near zero nuisance and no threat for Russia. He is more harming for Putin dead then alive.

I really hate to agree with Buchanan, but he may be right. Seems to me if Putin wanted this guy dead, he could've simply had him disappear or something.

The KGB agent Putin is a saint. And Churchill caused the Holocaust. And Buchanan is under medicated. He is rewritting history, poorly, or current political ends. Fine if you are a leftist.
