The increasing risks that go with the rise of Islam

The increasing risks that go with the rise of Islam Islam is, by definition, both a religion and a political system. As the population of Europe withers away, Muslim immigrants are amassing power, bringing the political culture of Islam into close conflict with Western liberalism. Steyn wonders what will happen when the laws of sharia smack up against the mores of Europe.

Istanbul used to be named Constantinople. I wonder what "Berlin", "Paris" and "Rome" translate to in Farsi.

Europe will become a hellhole

It will also become a new power broker, as it inherits Nukes from the decaying western powers of europe.

More hellholes with nukes and almost nobody seems to care.

'Now it's Instanbul, not Constantinople,
Now it's Instanbul, not Constantinople,
Why they changed it, I can't say,
I guess they like it better that way!'

That was a semi-popular novelty song back about 1947. Surprising what sticks around in the attic of one's mind.

Islam is really much more of a political system, than it is a religion. The religion is used just to justify their bellicosity.

Constantinople was renamed Instanbul under the rule of the Ottoman Turks. Some of the old historic Orthodox churches were changed into mosques as well (Hagia Sophia comes to mind).

How soon will the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris become a mosque?

It is interesting that Japan, with extremely low fertility rates, will never become a islamic hell hole. I guess some countries just value their culture and immigration laws differently...

I'm not sure. It and Chartre were built by the Knights Templar who were heavily involved in the Crusades. The Muslims might just raze them.

I think I read somewhere that the Cathedral of St Catherine, in Istanbul, is still there, but it is a church in name only. Virtually no one worships there anymore.

Kind of like the Coliseum in Rome, and the Acropolis in Greece. Maybe the Cathedral of Notre Dame will become a similar historic relic.

I read so many threads which mourn the passing of Europe and proclaim the inevitability of an Islamic conquest, and it makes me wonder. If Europe has in fact rejected Christianity, or religion in general, why is it assumed that they would accept the darkness of Islam? Over ninety percent of Europe is non-Muslim. They are not cowards or apathetic. They will push back when the Muslims overreach. This war is not over. It hasn't yet begun.

It's called demographics. The postchristian (no point in calling them Christian any more, is there?) women of /europe have babies as a rate of 1.1 to 1.5. You need a rate of 2.1 to keep your population steady, let alone grow it. moslem women have children at a rate of 4.0 or higher. Plus more moslems are immigrating in every day.

This has been going on since about 1970, so we're two generation in already. Eventually moslems will reach 20% of the population, plus they will be all the young people, so when they demand changes in the political landscape there will be a lot of young moslems for the fight and very few young postchristians. So don't imagine force will be a viable option.

The change is already almost impossible to stop, and it will become totally impossible within a decade. Say hello to Eurabia.

Yes, but demographics are as hard to predict as the weather. If Europeans and Muslim immigrants continue to reproduce at present levels it is a mathematical certainty that Muslims will eventually prevail. But I believe that it is not too late for Europe to change its immigration policies and its welfare state mentality, and I believe they will do this. If not, then the barbarians will have acquired more real estate to turn into another Islamic hell hole.

In order to stop this mathematical process postchristian women actually have to start having more babies. Let me know when you have evidence that that is happening. Until then we're watching a death spiral.
