- Standard CYA exercise on the part of the State Department. If you were a local State Dept. official with a promising career ahead of you, you'd be crazy not to issue a warning just in case things went sideways for the twins.
Please offer proof of the State Department's telling the girls to leave. (It would be the polar opposite of U.S. Embassy's position on American guests in a foreign country).
