And as to the loss of the seats, this just means that the republicans cannot spend more becasue the manner they want to grow goverenment by is not going to be agreeable to the democrats and vise versa.
So we have a no loose situation. The two houses will always be fighting and hopfully nothing at all gets passed.

LOL just last year I was reading here that he would be ranked in the top 5 of best presidents ever. Can't wait to see what happens in 2008. Maybe Pataki for Pres whoopee.
We were kept in the dark about his intentions. I don't ever remember hearing about this speech. It clearly shows Bush's predilection towards hispanics as a favored people. Even, it seems, over all other U.S. citizens.

Well Iraq was a wonderful thing for us. We got a bad bad man and we gave millions the choice for democracy which apparently they have always hoped for. Now we are only a couple billion in the whole and the dems have taken the government over and probably the white house in 08. SS reform I guess is a forgone conclusion. Fixing our borders not likely to happen.

I've noted that FR Bushbots have yet to call me on my tagline. I figure it because in their hearts they know its true.
It's two years until the next election, and he ain't running. He is now in a pre-retirement mode, and will be coasting the next two years trying to "leave a legacy", like Clinton.
Start working on the Republican leadership and the RNC and RSCC and tell them the money dries up as of now until they start representing us and not the Chamber of Commerce or Tysons Chicken. The only thing they respond to is money, or lack of it. They really don't give a damn about you.
Also, write to the new Democrats and let them know that their future is in the balance.
