I think if a cop tells you to stop and you instead try to run him over he has the right to shoot you. I don't know if so many rounds were needed but if you haven't figured out in your teenage years to stop when told to by a police man then you will suffer. I am sad he was to get married and leaves a sweetheart and two children but he should have stopped and found out why he was being stopped.

Don't be sad- these kids are better off without a 'dad' like this and the mother will probably lose them soon enough- if she is hanging out with creeps like that.

The day after the incident happened, I heard Mayor Bloomberg on the radio news say that a cop is not allowed to shoot at a car that is trying to hit him, unless someone in the car is shooting.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing, so I asked my son, who is an NYPD Police Captain.
He said, that's right. The idea is that the cop can get out of the way. That is just ridiculous.
