Doesnt a penny weigh about 1 gram ( ~ 1/28th ounce)
and 1 troy ounce = 31.1034768 grams and with Gold now about $640/oz that $10 coin will be pretty small

(considering gold is denser than copper/zinc)


That thing will be positively dinky (but then its a commemorative ....)





Oh, they forgot to mention that there will be a 3 dollar bill with Bill 'BJ' Clinton on it.

The gold coins are not sold at their face value. The face value is for historical interest. The coins are sold to collectors and investors by their weight: 1/10th, 1/4th, 1/2, and 1 oz.
