Frightening. I wonder what our world will be like in 25 years.

I am seriously afraid for my children.

You consider this article frightening?

I don't recommend that you see the movie "Obsession"if that is truly the case for you...

While Islam is NOT compatible with Christianity I find it ironic that it IS compatible with "The daVinci Code". Of course since they use non-canonical texts as primary sources of their body of teachings from early Jewish and Christian texts it is not that surprising.

Forgive me for butting in ... but do not fear and do not let Islamofascism make you depressed!

As I have matured in my Christian faith, if there is one thing I have learned is that evil, and suffering, are inevitable in the world. And we Christians are clearly taught to be joyful in spite of this fact, and go about our lives worshipping God and doing his work anyway.

Do I sometimes fear that my 11-year old son will be forced to fight in WWIV against Islamofascist Nazis? Of course. But overall I am overjoyed to be blessed with children and hopefully, lots of grandchildren. In spite of the problems of today.

And in case you think I'm just an irrepressible optimist, here are some worldly facts that will hopefully validate to you that times are not nearly as bad in the world as they have been before:

* Mutually Assured Desctruction, when both the US and USSR could obliterate each other many times over with tens of thousands of nuclear bombs, was far more dangerous to the world over a 3-decade period from the early 1960s until the early 1990s.

* World War II resulted in the worldwide deaths of 60 million people -- 1/3 of them being Russian. The only countries untouched by that war were in South America.

The world was far more dangerous then than now. Yet people still lived, had children, and went about their business. It is not so bad today! So my kind advice to you is to stop worrying and live joyfully.
