The 751 No-Go Zones of France
Jihadwatch.org ^ | 11/24/06 | Robert Spencer

Posted on 11/25/2006 4:35:13 PM PST by voletti

They go by the euphemistic term Zones Urbaines Sensibles, or Sensitive Urban Zones, with the even more antiseptic acronym ZUS, and there are 751 of them as of last count. They are conveniently listed on one long webpage, complete with street demarcations and map delineations.

What are they? Those places in France that the French state does not control. They range from two zones in the medieval town of Carcassone to twelve in the heavily Muslim town of Marseilles, with hardly a town in France lacking in its ZUS. The ZUS came into existence in late 1996 and according to a 2004 estimate, nearly 5 million people live in them.

Comment: A more precise name for these zones would be Dar al-Islam, the place where Muslims rule. (November 14, 2006)

I think the no-go zones will decrease in number.

Malignant cancers start with a few rogue cells and then metastasize with frightening rapidity.

France appears to be terminal...

"I think the no-go zones will decrease in number."

Do you foresee the French government growing a spine in the near future?

I suspect he means thatthe whole of 'Fwance' may soon become a no-go area for the free world.

You mean as they merge into each other?

No! The "no go" areas will enlarge to the point where they are contiguous. As that happens areas that were separate become one larger "no go" area.

By the way, I'm surprised they didn't go for Zones Urbaines Terribles, or ZUT for short.

I am thinking that if the french want to profit on this they should invest in Burka futures.

So much for Vive la France.

I think the no-go zones will decrease in number.

I do too I think they will simply merge into districts and then into france as a whole.

It is a mistake (understatement) for the french to seed soverignty.

Probably so. As they expand, they will conjoin and the total number will drop.

AH, I see where you're coming from.

Very likely. France will fall within the next 20 years. If not sooner. I hope plans are being made to rescue some of the treasures of our civilization from those who would destroy it....

Oops. I found that I have been to several. A few years ago, before I knew better, I took my then 15-year-old daughter with me to visit the cathedral at St. Denis, in the very northern part of Paris. It's on the list. It was a bit unnerving as the character of the people on the Metro gradually changed and we came out near the cathedral. Cool place to see (first gothic cathedral and the abbey where the kings of France are buried). However, had I known then what I know now, the visit would not have happened.

My Frence friends also warned me against taking the Metro through the Montmartre area after midnight. I caught a Muslim kid (about 10 years old, or so) with his hand in my pocket one night as we were entering the Metro outside the Moulon Rouge. There's some really rough areas in that northern part of Paris, believe me.
