Not true! You go to the farmer/rancher and ask permission or for a sum of money you lease his property/holding for hunting.

If it is PRIVATE LAND as in Texas you do, but NOT if it is GOVERNMENT LAND and they were crossing LEASED GOVERNMENT LAND when this happened.
