Plea bargains often result because the prosecutor's case isn't very good (ie, most damning evidence is inadmissible). This is often NOT a result of poor prosecutorial work and has nothing to do withh how smart or deserving of being accepted to law school the prosecutor is or was.
2. This is a plea bargain. This suggests the evidence the prosecutor had was tenuous or somehow in jeopardy. The "admissions" may (as many if not most do) have had admissibility issues.
"Your psychic sense is cluttered with lawyer-like fanciful conclusions not in evidence."
What are you talking about, Drobot? Like it or not, the Rules of Evidence exist and the people involved in legal proceedings must play by them.
I've got a feeling that 'short eyes' won't make the 10 months. Soon after he hits the general population someone will shank his prevert a$$.
bump
Where is the New York Times and ABC News?
I'm sure they'll report the story any second now...
***checking watch***
***tapping on watch***
***putting ear to watch***
To Democrats, yes it does.
" ... 1. This is poor reporting.
Never saw something prepared by WND that was fraudulent.
I have seen plenty.
" ... His offenses involved a long list of counts that he used the Internet to collect and share graphic child pornography mostly involving children as young as six who were filmed "engaged in sex acts with adults or other children," according to a local news report.State investigators said Reed used an e-mail account to post 169 images and three movies containing child pornography on file-sharing networks over the last several years.
Ken Bagwell, whose "Heads Up America" radio program has delved into the appropriateness of that sentence, said there's a difference between taking such material from the Internet "and getting your jollies or whatever these sickos do" and actually producing the material.
"You acquire the kid, you abuse the kid on camera, and get a 10-month sentence?" he asked. "I just cannot believe it."
The offenses 15 counts to which Reed pleaded guilty were victimizing "the absolutely youngest most defenseless people out there," Bagwell told WND. "It just makes me want to gag to see what is happening."
WND used this other guy, Bagwell, to misrepresent that actually happened here. If Bagwell had indeed "looked into" the sentencing, as WND says he did, he would have seen that the perp in question is not the one who abused children on camera.
So, where did this Bagwell get the idea that he did? Is that what WND told him, when asking him to comment?
Most importantly, where is the actual assaulting/videotaping perp serving his sentence and how long is that sentence?
Get O'Reilly on this....
Go RUDY Go!!! :)
I was wondering when you'd show up. :) Not to worry, I've got a closet full of Rudy Repellant ready to go.
I was merely responding to your post me ME!
Go RUDY Go!!!
Your source, please.
You :What are you talking about, Drobot? Like it or not, the Rules of Evidence exist and the people involved in legal proceedings must play by them.
We're limited to what has been presented to us in the WND story. Tinfoil was supposing an idea not eluded to in the story. Thus, s/he was arguing from "....conclusions not in evidence....".
Now, go back to the kids table, you're not old enough to sit with the adults.
Of all the counties in Western North Carolina, Buncombe County votes the most heavily Democrat. Most of the rest of them are heavily Republican. Buncombe (especially Asheville) gave Heath Shuler his biggest margin of votes this year and led him to victory as it has a very high population compared to the rest of the surrounding sparsely populated counties.
Asheville is like San Francisco in the '60s. Going there is like being in a time warp; Hippies, New Age freaks, the homeless, petty thieves and panhandlers abound.
Haven't "seen" you in ages, friend.
Still shaking my head over this perv.
I WAS considering Asheville as a vacation destination for next year. Am now looking elsewhere.
