Maybe there are a few but not many FReepers wanting to cut and run.

However, I was in the service during Vietnam and remember being spit on at the airport in Seattle coming home from what some John Coward Kerry ilk's characterized as a lost cause.

I am not wanting to cut and run I just want the politicians in that cesspool called Washington to get their greedy, grubby, loser hands off the military and let them fight this war like General Patton would have fought it.

We can not win a politically fought war trying to be the nice guy to every ignorant terrorist sociopath coming down the pike.

When will politicians understand that war is for killing the enemy until their are only enough left to sue for peace.

I say either fight to win or get out.

If we chose the latter (getting out) it will turn into another quagmire and eventually move from Iraq to somewhere closer and more dear to our hearts.

That is NOT a cut and run stance. What you said is not only supportive of a victory against the enemy in Iraq but also very supportive of our troops.

Excellent post!
My husband is a Viet Nam vet.
I remember those days, too.

I pray history doesn't repeat itself.

Thank you!
