If we don't fight evil overseas, we will have to fight it on our own shores. We must indeed pick our battles wisely--but pick them we must. There are wars thrust upon us and our allies--and sometimes waged by cruel tyrants against their own 'huddled masses' in whose defense we must stand. When this is so--and in Iraq ALL this most certainly has been so--we must pick up our weapons and fight...and WIN.

Not all who ask questions are intentionally being divisive, of course. As for those on and off this Forum who are--when it came to propaganda and cut 'n' run cowardice, Gramsci/Goebbels and Murtha/Kerry were not the first.

Here is Nehemiah's description of a similar situation in ancient times, also in the Mideast:

I agree! If they're shooting from a cathedral, we should blow up the cathedral. If they shooting from the Mosque we should blow up the mosque. We should kill Sadr now. If we are there we should fight for victory, not for the hearts and minds of jew haters

Great post! I for one do not want my country becoming a place where there are suicide bombers on every street corner, where kids have to worry when they board the buses for school, whether they will get bombed. Israel has been dealing with this kind of thing for longer than anyone cares to say, and if we don't stop these terrorists over there, they will be here!

That's the bottom line for me. I thank the troops every day, and pray for the safety of each and every one of them.

This I don't understand. What I'm saying is that with my military training we were always taught that the terrorists liked soft targets and avoided the hard.

It seems to me that our troops in Iraq are the hard targets. In other words why haven't they targeted us, the homeland, the soft target?
