Well, they didn't serve and won't serve, nor their children.

What do you want to do about it? Everyone here is against the draft, so how do you get the elites to ever serve?

Of course with amnesty, these same elites will have an endless supply of welfare state illegals to go in harm's way for them, so I guess they do have a plan.

Most of the "voters" did not, have not now and will not ever have a clue what they did...

In about a year or so, after the 'rats have de-funded and caused "re-deployment" and devistation of the military, and the first nuke hits somewhere in the U.S.... will be when (some of) the "voters" will realize what they have done. There will be no quick "fix" at that time, only weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth...and the rest of the clueless "voters" will likely keep blaming Bush, complaining that he didn't do enough to prevent the carnage.

Sigh....too bad for us!

No kidding!

I'm sure that all, or mostly all, Republicans in the House or Senate served out country.

We all know our President and Vice President did.

They're elite so they wouldn't serve anyway.

The draft isn't necessary for we have a very capable military without it and we still maintain freedom of choice to boot.

We all know our President and Vice President did.

However, that isn't what made them the leaders we need in dire times.

Their comprehension and ability to be decisive with conviction is what has made them great leaders.

I won't be weeping or wailing but I'll damned sure be gnashing my teeth--and loading magazines.

BTW, we had a wounded soldier and his family over for Thanksgiving and the talk among the soldiers is exactly what you bring up: defunding, "re-deployment", a general betrayal of the troops, he is not a happy camper, especially after his and his buddies, sacrifices. He's pretty bitter at the country right now. He unknowingly answered my tagline...

If there is was ever a reason to get out of Iraq, for me anyway, this is the bottom line.

NO TROOP should die or even get so much as a paper cut defending the Traitors of our very own country. These dims are NOT leaders, they are TRAITORS!! We talk about the Traitors, we bitch about the Traitors, we complain within the system about the Traitors, we see the damage the Traitors are doing to our country. Yet, we really do nothing to resolve the problem. I would rather we released all of the in-custody Terrorists and placed them outside the wire and killed them killed them there.....no mercy...let God decide that later. Our money and fight would be better spent going after the Traitors within, using our Military legal system.

I am ready to let the Traitorous libs, dims, MSM and etc. deal with the Terrorists up close and personal. Let them hear their babies cry. Let them see with their own eyes what THEY have done to the security and freedom of our nation. Let them smell death in their own neighborhoods.

While the Terrorists did indeed murder thousands of innocent people on 911, and it was certainly a horrific event, the traitors have killed far more and put our nation at far greater risk than the Terrorists could have ever done.

Although I recognize that I might very well sound like a nut case and I dearly want to have faith in the American people. That faith is no longer there for me. It is not the Terrorists or dangerous nations that will bring us to our knees, it will be the dims and our own system that allows them to destroy what others have died to protect.

I didn't intend to rant, but it seems it turned out that way.....I hope everybody is enjoying left over turkey today.

Exactly.

They weren't happy then; they aren't happy now; and they'll be positively miserable when the fit hits the shan.

They were willfully ignorant and determinedly mule-headed in their election choices. More people had punishment on their "minds" than governance, and they ended up getting the government they deserve (unfortunately they dragged us into the hole along with them).

Hang on boys, it's gonna get rough!

As one who put in nearly 25 years in the Army National Guard, I find your ignorant slight typical of what I would expect from a half-wit liberal.

President Bush served honorably in the Air National Guard, despite the lies from your hero, Dan Rather.
