I don't know - I have never heard of Duncan Hunter before today.

I'm not picking at you, Alice, this is the 2nd or 3rd comment like this on this thread. How does anyone have knowledge of current politics, goverment and NOT know the name Duncan Hunter. He's on the TV all the time! This is the man we should be working for. Consistent, military background, son served in Iraq and he CARES about this country.

I can't say I know much about him either, but that's kinda the point.

if we who care about these things feel he's on the edge of the national debate - the other 95% of the less engaged electorate REALLY don't know him.

I have no doubt if he's the guy you say he is, that more name recognition will be in his future, but it doesn't happen over night, and I suspect it's almost too late for 2008. Maybe not, I'll be watching for more about Duncan Hunter.

Since there seems to be other Freepers that haven't heard of Duncan Hunter either, I don't think I'm that stupid & I know I'm not lying. Maybe if I could see a picture of the man, I might recognize him - but I gotta say that I have no name recognition of him. Maybe it's because I live in the East. I'm not against the guy - like I said - I'm open minded to any good conservative candidate & will certainly read the links you gave to find out more about him.

The little that I've picked up about him on this thread sounds really good - but if he is on TV all the time - it doesn't seem like he's got a lot going in the charisma department - not cutting the guy down or anything - I just haven't noticed him.

I'll check him out.
