"We have to figure out a way to make the MSM cease to exist."
This is not hard to do.
Just tell the truth about them, call them out for what they are.
Disassociate them from their false assertion they are journalists reporting the news, and instead correctly associate them with being a network of marketing firms with the DNC as their largest client.
After all, they are nothing more than ad copy writers and spokespersons for the DNC with 24/7 access to the most powerful marketing channels known to man.
Once you open peoples eyes to this fact, the MSM falls in reputation to their rightful place as carnival barkers.
Problem solved.
That was also my impression. Another reminder that the MSM is completely 100% unreliable.
This indicates the biggest Bush failure, the Media war. They could have done a hell of a lot better job countering the MSM on how the war is going, but remained largely silent and let CBSNBCABCCNNMSNBC run the show.
Bad mistake, and it could be the end of the American Superpower we used to know & love because any pissant terrorist organization knows they can kick our collective asses if they can show enough bad stuff on our complicit media.
From picture #9 : "I don't think people know how hard we work on Iraqis," says one nurse. "Most of the patients we're taking aren't U.S. soldiers."
What will they do if we leave.
Maybe you never saw civil war pics which graphically displayed the bloated corpses?
Exactly. War is horror, and I see no problem in presenting it as such.
There is room in our discourse for both the Iwo Jima photo *and* Guernica
Dead Animal and Dead People" magazine
I wrote them about four or five years ago telling them that I was tired of seeing all the morgue shots.
Many folks don't have the stomach for the reality of war and prefer a sanitized version be proffered in their media.
I havent seen santitized versions in the media. I would like to see lots of terrorist bodies, not my own soldiers.
George Allen is a doofus. I have said this for years on this forum. He is like Reagan except that Reagan had a brain. A sharp intellect which is totally lacking in Sen. Allen. Let him fade away.
Don't watch, encourage everyone you know not to watch either.
I told the owner of a fast food place that if I were him, I wouldn't allow CNN in my store. He turned it off, at least while I was there, and often changes it to fox when he sees me drive up. The motivation was their showing of the terrorist propaganda snuff film, with US Marines as the star attraction. He's retired soldier.
I just watched it. I approached it with some trepidation, because I have such a personal connection with this war.
I have a couple of comments. Yes, it's bloody, but that is what war is about. To ignore that fact is to do what leftists do when they say "We support our troops", but they don't support war. War is what troops do. And, when they go to war, they may bleed.
I found the comments made by the medical people to be very positive, and I think it's important for us to understand a tiny bit of what they do and what they are about.
Seeing this makes me all that much more in awe of what our people are doing over there, and what our troops are made of. Very powerful.
If there was a hidden agenda or idealogical slant, I didn't see it.
Dinosour Something Media?
As visualops said, it means "Drive By Media".
Rush coined the term. It's an allusion to gang members in a drive by shooting, who pull up to a crowd of people, shoot bullets into the crowd, and drive off, leaving someone else to clean up the mess.
It's a good description of the media, who come out with stories of dubious accuracy (like the Koran being flushed down the toilet), or revealing classified material in wartime (like the terrorist surveillance program or the SWIFT program) and merrily drive off looking for their next "scoop", leaving it up the rest of us to deal with the consequences of their irresponsibility.
