Exactly! The punk being an Iraqi with insurgency sympathies named Thaer Thabit al-Hadithi.

On November 20th of last year, he videotaped bodies at the local morgue, people wailing, and the homes of dead Iraqis in Haditha. He then spends four months, trying to find a media outlet who will buy his tale.

In the Time magazine story of March 19, al-Hadithi is falsely described as a "budding journalist student" with ties to Human Rights Watch. The Associated Press claimed that al-Hadithi is an "Iraq investigator". In truth, al-Hadithi is just a middle-aged Iraqi with a video camera who has played the American media (with help from Murtha) like a fiddle from hell.
