Tesco will remove this demented product line extraordinarily fast.

The site now says it's "suitable for adults only."

I don't think it's really supposed to be sold to kids, or as fitness equipment.

I think it's something you're supposed to give as a gag gift to an adult. Like fart spray, only classier.

When I saw the headline, my first thought was that it was going to somehow be tied to the Bratz brand name...

Not quite racy enough for the Bratz brand.

It WAS in their toy section, they were forced to move it. The size of it is not for adults. It is sized for kids and comes with kid sized garter and smallish toy money.

Sick!

The "Bag o' Glass" is from the very popular "Bag o'" line of products, such as the best-selling "Bag o' Rusty Razor Blades." : )

All you need now is the GI Joe shore leave kit, and you're set. :-P

I guess the "Bag of Glass" isn't selling too well...

Nor the "Jr. Electrician Outlet Patrol Set"...

I swear that I thought of this first. My daughter was 3 and we were searching for the latest Barbie toy for Cristmas.(1990!) A fellow shopper asked where a particular Barbie accessory was shelved. I quipped that it was next to the Barbie Surfer Van with the Ken Surfer Beach Bum doll! Another shopper voiced interest in the Ken Bum doll. I pointed in an off handed manner and beat a hasty retreat.

I never heard the end of it from my wife.

Lo and behold next season Barbi, the Malibu House and Beach Van were front and center for your shoppping pleasure.

Where's my royalties??

Well it says the poll goes to 8'6", seems adult sized. As for the garter and the money it depends on if that's a full sized DVD, the picture on amazon shows them to be correctly proportioned to the DVD (ie the money looks to have the same relative size to the DVD that a normal dollar has). All looks pretty obviously marketed to adults, especially given the nearly $100 price tag.

Now that's a reasonable use for such an item. It would actuially be a pretty funny gag gift.

Before everyone hyperventilates, read the accompanying text.

"SUITABLE FOR ADULTS ONLY. Simply extend the Peekaboo pole inside the tube, put on the music and get fit."

"This should not be available until at least college age."

Yes, instead maybe something as simple & old-fashioned as a plastic dry-cleaning bag to play with, until they grow older, assuming they do.
And remember--take your kids to reputable tatoo parlors!

Yeah, but $100 on a gag gift?

Never thought we'd actually see the Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset or it's equivalent, huh?

What, you mean this wasn't in the toy department at Target?

Okay folks, calm down. Unless a cached version of Tesco's online catalog shows differently, a little pajama-media-style research shows the story is bogus.

A search of their site for the word 'pole' turns up the product, but when you narrow the search to the Toys & Games section of the catalog, only a tricycle with a pole handle for the parent to push or guide the tike on the trike showe up.

The item in question is listed in the Fitness Accessories submenu of the Fitness Equipment menu.
