A federal judge has dismissed charges against a Kansas City woman for alleged voter registration fraud, court records show.
Senior U.S. District Judge Howard Sachs on Monday dismissed a two-count federal indictment against Stephanie L. Davis at the request of the office of U.S. Attorney Bradley Schlozman. In the request, the office said Davis claimed she was not the person who did the acts charged but that her identity was used without her permission. The office said the claims were true.
Davis was one of four people indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly submitting false voter registrations while working for ACORN, a community activist group. It was not clear Monday whether the person who allegedly claimed to be Davis faces any charges.
Two other defendants Brian Gardner and a man listed in the original indictment as Kwaim A. Stenson pleaded not guilty Monday before a U.S. magistrate, according to court records. Both defendants are free on bond.
The fourth defendant, Dale Franklin, has not been arraigned.

Acorn like the ACLU and all the other socialists always get a pass. I seems like they carry a a "Get out of Jail Free" card.

They will eventually ALL skate. Unfortunately. OK, if someone used her identity without her knowledge, then SOMEONE at ACORN accepted those cards without knowing who completed them and submitted them to the authorities as legitimate registrations. SOMEONE NEEDS TO GO TO JAIL AND THIS PRACTICE NEEDS TO STOP!

I really don't know why I bother checking anymore as the rulings are self explanatory:
Senior U.S. District Judge Howard Sachs - Nominated by Jimmy Carter on May 17, 1979
Jimmah or Willard were a given.

Can't blame the judge; he merely followed the recommendation of the US Attorney.

ACORN...
recipient of donations from the Catholic Bishops conference.
(that's NOT an anti-Catholic bash; it was reported with dismay on
EWTN; I believe the show is "The World Over" with the host by the name of Arroyo)

I don't know which is worse; ACORN or a plague of professional pickpockets.

That's kind of how the left works. Look a Venezuela. Once leftist Chavez got elected pounding the conservatives with lies and propaganda, free speech laws were immediately changed to "only relevant free speech is allowed." That way Venezuela can still claim to support free speech but "only if its relevant." The law change effectively curbs the conservatives ability to beat the left back down. The same principle holds true everywhere. It can be found in Saul Alonso's book: "Rules for Radicals." Use the law against the writers of that law to gain power, then change the law to stay in power. All radicals work together toward the same goals, including ACORN, the ACLU, courts, colleges, etc. We need to quit the bitching and fight back before it is too late. One way to start is for everyone to chip in to fund the establishment of a new TV network that espouses conservative ideas as a counter balance to the MSM; talk radio just doesn't quite do it. The other is to support our side come hell or high water! We conservatives need to be more decisive rather than divisive as now. As much as we may hate them, a RINO is always better than a Dem!

fund the establishment of a new TV network that espouses conservative ideas as a counter balance to the MSM
An excellent idea, especially if the "fairness doctrine" is re-enacted , a small cadre of conservative thinkers could be on rotation for use by MSM shows as "balance" through a single point of contact, after a while they would be thought of as a brand name which might be enough to launch a satellite feed/channel and support investigative reporters. Alternately if Fox News simply came to the conclusion that their tilt left over the last few years (ie. away from the truth) is costing them viewership this could be accomplished quickly.
