Why would Pat Robertson call a member of a Christian church a "non-Christian?"
I think Pat Robertson is a dope. And I have a lot of very good Mormon friends. And I can easily see voting for Romney.
But Mormons just are not Christians. It isn't just the Catholics that believe that they aren't Christians - it is pretty much any mainstream Christian denomination.
This is just basic theology. They don't accept the Trinity. At all. It is what it is - a non-Christian religion.
We can argue all day long about whether a non-Christian can be President, but we can't realistically argue about whether Mormons are Christians. Because they aren't.

What basis do you have for the claim that a Christian is, by definition, trinitarian? I'm not necessarily doubting you, I'm just wondering if you can point me to some relevant authority.

I, of course, agree that the Trinity is a core belief of Christianity, but Mormons make great neighbors because they are generally very ethical people. There's no reason why one would not make a good president.
