"Have you seen your typical black comedian's comedy routine?"
I agree and that's why I don't watch that crap. I did too much research on the abolition movement, Jim Crow, and the modern civil rights movement to embrace what I consider self-destructive behavior.
>>>Have you seen your typical black comedian's comedy routine?>>>
I live in very rural Georgia, my 10 year old daughter's best friend is a black girl in her class. She loves that movie White Chicks (the TV formatted version). Typical of her age, she is mimicking the funny parts and starts saying "Get away from me Arnold Schwarzanigger", just like Damon or whoever Wayons did on the movie. I tried to explain to my daughter why it wasn't 'funny' when she said it. She did NOT understand why it was funny when a black person said it, but not her. She has not been around for all the racism/civil rights movement over the past 40 years so she doesn't understand prior prejudices. To her, she knows she doesn't hate black people (she's spent many many weekends with her friend and her family) and she knows the black person said it and was supposed to funny. She also knows she wouldn't say anything in a 'mean way'. I don't know how to explain it except that it is just the way it is. But I didn't want her to go to her friend's house and say it not intentionally and make herself look bad even though she didn't understand what she would have done wrong.
And your point is...what? Did you watch this video?! He is a vile human being, period. It doesn't matter what black comedians do or don't do, this was completely offensive and if you can't see that, take a hard look in the mirror.
Which is why it will never go away. No different than allowing, say, men to use the "F" word but not the women.
Pretty soon the women are going, "Hey, if it's not that bad then why can't we say it too?"
Not to condone K's words, but have you you heard rap lyrics ? You will hardly find a song without "white mo* fo*" in them.
