I think the Purpose Driven Life is a great piece of work.

Since I don't adore someone just for writing a book though, I guess what he does now does not impact my thinking much. It might affect whether I would purchase a new book from him. It would depend on the content and how it is reviewed.

Well since you already castigated someone else for sharing their opinion, I won't mention that the Purpose Driven Life is nothing but fluff and cotton candy. A really good book to read is the Bible. Letting it interpret itself is even more novel.
