Sorry if I mis-represented myself by saying Vietnam was "my era" as a prelude to my Vietnam Veterans ping list. I have to change that wording, since I just meant that I was the same age as the boys who were being drafted and volunteering during that war.
But let's just take that beautiful post of yours as being for any and all of those 'Nam Vets who may be watching.
