Since the antarctic ice sheet is growing, that is, its leading edges are moving farther north into warmer waters, then that could explain why there are large pieces of it breaking off. As for the ozone hole, that's explained by the smoking volcano down there. (The enviro-socialists have never explained why we don't have an ARCTIC ozone hole.)
