Even here at Freerepublic Giuliani consistently does better than McCain in polls.

We're supposed to be impressed by online self-selected polls? Are you insane? This is FreeRepublic and we specialize in this stuff.

And just the other day, there was a new poll that showed Hillary beating Rudy decisively in New York. And if that's true of New York, it's probably true of all the liberal northeast states. Funny how all of you who tout Rudy's polling didn't manage to read that thread. At any rate, polls this early are nothing but name recognition.

But crime fell elsewhere as well. Perhaps not as sharply. But the rest of us weren't living in a sewer like NYC, were we?

Not you personally, no.
But Freeper member polls do mean something to most Freepers.
As a rule, they tend to reflect the views of most Freepers.
Plus of course there have been plenty of polls posted here which have had Giuliani besting McCain even amongst conservatives.
Let's face it, McCain is not the most popular figure amongst conservatives in this country.

That was just ONE poll, taken immediately AFTER the Republican "clobbering" in the November elections, at a time when Republicans were down.
Every other poll before that had Giuliani beating Hitlery with ease.

But crime fell elsewhere as well

Crime is still very high in the RATS strongholds of Detroit and New Orleans.
So clearly, crime didn't fall "everywhere as well".
