What if a few of them are really Reagan democrats

We saw what happened to all the Reagan dems in the dem party, they left!! If any of the current crop are the real thing they will leave as well. No room for conservative thoughts in the rat party.

#171, believe me we will be documenting every single thing these fake conservatives say and do. Mahomely is not conservative, and Foley will not be on the ballot, Joe Negron will be, and he will be well financed to show every single left wing Democrat statement or vote that Mahomely has uttered or cast. This is going to be enjoyable playing against the Majority. I just hope those idiotic Right Wing Talk Show People finally realize who the enemy is, and it is not Republicans. They really were an asset of the DBM and DNC, and should admit it publicly or they have no credibility.

I doubt the liberal MSM reads us -- they're waaaaaaay to good for us. Remember the CBS president's "pajama" remark - that was flat out dismissive ... and telling. Fox might - and if they do, great. It would be a good story.

I fear they will not and just toe the dem line when it comes to it.

As I understand it, the Dems have party discipline and the Republicans don't -- I hear it's because the Dems rely much more on money from the party, while Republicans generally can raise their own. Rush had a bit on how Pelosi is likely going to assemble those who ran as conservatives and explain the facts of Dem life to them: vote with the party regardless of how you ran, or you'll never see another cent when you're up for reelection.

Corn is worthless and impossible to watch for more than five minutes.

LOL! Time is relative and five minutes can be an eternity sometimes!

What 'subliminal slapdown'? Some details for those of us that didn't see it.

What he said. I didn't hear about this also.

I envision more involvement from Newt in the future, but not as a presidential candidate.

This is probably right on target, given the situation as it now exists. I believe that he stated to Wallace that he would make no comment regarding a possible run until Sept. '08 at the earliest.

Thanks for the explanation. I just "assumed" someone with a touchy-feely attitude had gotten a bit peeved for "not" being awarded a ribbon.

:)

Many folks forget why Newt resigned from office .. but you can guarantee the Dems won't forget

I don't know if you ever saw this from Ron Dreher:

In 1994, I was living on Capitol Hill in a group house with four others, all of whom worked in politics. When the Republicans took over the House that year, I taunted one of my housemates, who worked for a Democratic member, with chants of, “Speaker Gingrich! Speaker Gingrich!” He wasn’t fazed a bit. He told me calmly, “We know that Newt cheats on his wife. If he pushes things too far, we’ll make sure the media know it too.”

As it turned out, Newt really was cheating on his wife. I wonder how many punches were pulled by Speaker Gingrich out of fear that the Democrats would drop the bomb on him.

Rats. I did not realize Negron lost! And yes, the next two years are going to be interesting as long as we can get the news in the papers and the word out. I hope Joe Negron releases numerous press releases.

If it were me, I would send out "Shadow Representative" releases (Along the lines of the UK Shadow Government) pointing out what I would have voted for, why and what it will mean to the voters in FL. Negron needs to respond to every vote and every statement. If the press won't print them, put them all on his website at minimum. To be honest, Negron could also come out with mid-term TV spots asking his opponent to do what he promised and stop playing politics.

I have been listening to Dr. Coburn's book. He is no fan of Newt.

The other day Bret Braier was reporting from Singapore - he read 2 lines of the President & 20 lines from liberal washington thinker.

That is such a great point!

Even the 'fair and balanced' Fox News spends much of its broadcasts simply repeating biased reports from the AP, MS-DNC, ABC etc -- and then responding.

But as a result, Fox STILL ends up spreading bogus news just by repeating stuff.

I heard that too. No problem, your mistake is minuscule compared to the ones I've made here.

And this would be a bad thing how...?

If (and it's a big "if") some (or all) of these folks really meant what they said this next two years could be REAL intersting.

Hey, I can dream, can't I?  We are currently in what is referred to in quantum physics as a "Quantum indeterminate state" where we don't know and can't know what the outcome will be.  Events have to transpire to "collapse the state vector" and show us what is really real and what is mere possibility.  Right now there are lots of possibilities, most of which have a very low probability of becoming reality, but they are possible, never the less.
