Here in Maine our local conservative (local versionof FR) is http://www.asmainegoes.com AS MAINE GOES.

My question is, is there a conservative NY Website similar to that where conservaives post in forums and there is acvtism...etc?

Also anybody know the popular local conservative site like that for Mass?

Oh yeah. I live in the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts, and they are just LOVIN it up here. The moonbats are all emboldened now, crawling out from under their rocks.

Tough place to live and be a conservative.

I fully understand your frustration, believe me, but can we please put threads on this subect to bed? There is absolutely no way we can change what happened 11 days ago, but what we can do is work toward the goal of getting a conservative elected to the WH in 2008, and a conservative majority in congress. Dialogue of this type accomplishes nothing.

The GOP has had 5 years to win the WOT, instead they can't figure out how to beat a bunch of ragheads whose biggest weapon is an RPG - WHILE WE HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS!!! Had they won the war they would have won the election hands down.

Instead the last two months - Sept and Oct., saw for the first time, the number of wounded exceed 760 per month for two consecutive months. Thats over 25 wounded a day - and this is not against a worthy opponent. Lets remember that in WW2 we were fighting armies of tens of millions of veteran combat hardened professional AND fanactical enemy troops, with thousands of tanks and aircraft and ships and artillery. .... we lost more then for that reason.. but we also had ten million men under arms and a nation mobilized.

Today our army is tiny by comparison - every 100 Americans
that die or are wounded is a bigger percentage of our military.... and in WW2 we had the draft to quickly replace our losses whereas today we have to increase and increase again the bonus and pay and even increase the age to... what is it now ? 42!

The GOP continues to tie the hands of our troops with KGC rules of engagement worse than in Nam.
The GOP continues to allow Iran and Syria to kill our troops without lifting a finger.

These are reasons why the GOP lost.
They failed to win a very easily winnable war and so they deserved to lose the election.

At least we conservative voters might have a silver lining to look forward to after this election. It is not even January yet and the Dims are already so drunk with power and crooked politics that they are likely to create a major momentum swing back our way in '08. Keep the faith! Let the Dims seal their own fate.

I thought the exit polls and such showed that it was the middle who stayed home or switched not the so-called GOP base?

Thank you for giving us blanket amnesty for illegals.

Well there's some hope that the democrats will impeach George Bush and then maybe Dick Cheney will veto it. ;-)

Thank you for guaranteeing no more conservative judges.

But the way for Harriet Miers is clear now. We'll have a judge both Bush and Reid want. ;-)

While you're doing all the thanking, perhaps you ought to thank congress and the President for all they did. Get it through your thick head, it was independents who rose up and voted us out. Normally, they dont vote in off year elections. This year they did because they were pissed. A few conservatives may have stayed home but relatively few. It was the independents that you need to take aim at but then all they will do is continue to vote conservatives out of office if Republicans continue to act like the incompetents who are only interested in power for the sake of power.

The WHINOs are the real RINOs.

I agree somewhat with what you've said, but there's a lot more blame to be laid, and I believe the voters are to blame for this...not going to the polls in the primaries and ridding the RINOs of the coveted seats. When only about 25% show up for primaries, then complain about no one worth voting for in November, then whose fault is it?

We need to get good people on the primary ballots, then support them, for heaven's sake! We are a lazy lot. If it means a lot to us to have good choices, then it's up to us to make that happen. The incumbents hope that when they win the primaries that most will go ahead and vote for them rather than have a dem win the seat. Unfortunately, voters stayed home for the primaries and November. This is stupidity! There's no denying that.

We all need to let Martinez know that there will be no support for RINOs in the next election, so serve up some better candidates or face losing for the next 10-20 years!

I agree with your comments.

I would like to add, the Primaries Elections are where the RINOs are eliminated. The General Election is where the conservatives are to retain power.

call it tough love.

when the RNC goes all out for a Lincon Chaffee over a real repub. And the rest of the repubs in office spend like democraps, and act like dems maybe its just best we have dems in office.

maybe the voters culled the sick from the herd.

I voted, but I don't blame those who chose not to. Not one bit.

To all you people who actually voted. Thank you for defending our Constitution.

That was not an option in most races.

You know what? For the first time in my life I actually held my nose and voted for people I disliked. Republicans. So let me tell you this as someone that actually swallowed hard and did what you coveted so badly despite all feelings to do otherwise.

THE GOP SCREWED US!

If you have a problem acknowledging that, too damn bad. But I have news for you. Those voters would have been with the GOP just like the previous years had the GOP actually done what they promised. Time for you, and others, to deal with that fact.

Do you give up and surrender too soon in all other areas of your life as well? What a wuss.

Why not wait and see how these things ACTUALLY play out before going all Chicken Little and stuff.

Incoming Senate Minority Leader McConnell is talking the talk. Let's see it he'll walk the walk and deny the Leftist Dims their fantasies.

I think he will. But we'll have to wait and see, won't we? All of us except the Mushy Middlers in the GOP, who continue to fight the last war (the war against the conservatives), rather than gearing up for the real war (against the majority party Dims). The Mushy Middlers have already decided that it's all over and the end is nigh.

Which is it going to be for you? The last war or the real war?
