What most people really object to when they object to a free market is that it is so hard for them to shape it to their own will. The market gives people what the people want instead of what other people think they ought to want. At the bottom of many criticisms of the market economy is really lack of belief in freedom itself.I don't think the criticisms of the market economy are at bottom anti-freedom. I think they are first and foremost anti-freedom. They are anti-freedom through and through.
Anyway, Friedman was a great man. He encouraged greatness in all of us.
Yes..agreed. But the Dems certainly don't get it. Nor does most of the public.
Freedom (Political freedom) includes economic freedom.
..... and a great man with a wonderful sense of humor.
When I majored in Economics back in the mid-60's, my oh my, was it dry..... without dry wit.
