Sad, though, that the mainstream media has pretty much defaulted out of coverage of families of the fallen.

I'm sure the MSM is sympathetic but after all, there are more interviews to line up with Cindy Sheehan, who has recieved 96% of the news coverage of Gold Star families and really, Cindy deserves more than that. The others lack sufficient BushHate, and they just aren't really news you know.

Great report. Perhaps over time more people who read about what they are doing shall appreciate the fact they are not bitter for their great loss. Their loved ones did not die in vain but for a very noble purpose. Like I shared two weeks back. We came, we saw, we conquered then gave hope to 24 million people for a brighter future.

Great post about a fantastic event. Visiting Iraq, producing the report and getting it to news media and politicians shows that it's possible for mighty changes to occur with common sense, hard work and sacrifice. Thank you, Kristinn and Gold Star families.

We then went to Rep. Duncan Hunter's office where he invited us to an early dinner at the Capitol Hill Club where we were joined by Rep. Billbray, also from California.

Rep. King spent a good hour listening to the families and asking them questions about the trip and their thoughts on Iraq.
He even put off a phone call from N.Y. Gov. Pataki to spend more time with us.

This certainly makes it clear who cares what these folks have to say.

BTW, Pataki could never have anything more important to say then these wonderful families.
