This sounds like a hit piece to me.

As someone who won the special election, Mrs. Gibbs would have the inside track for the nomination in 08.

Why is the MSM so concerned about what is clearly a transitional problem?

I think they are trying to make both Delay's team and Mrs. Gibbs look bad so that they can keep Republcans divided in CD22.

That is the only way Lampson keeps that seat.

Actually, nothing in this account makes DeLay's team sound bad. They sound quite good, if anything. Only Sekula-Gibbs sounds like a witch in this report. The undeniable fact of the matter is that she is ridiculously and petulantly calling for an investigation of Mr. DeLay's staff, who don't work for her anymore. No one made that up..

How could it be a "hit piece" when she's the one publicly demanding an investigation into why staffers didn't want to work for someone who was only there for six weeks?

Maybe she's trying to beat out Sheila Jackson Lee as Houston's most embarassing and unstable elected official.
