too many in this seemingly safe, quiet little world simply do NOT want to listen to the bad news...You said it right: seemingly safe. Unfortunately, the only thing that will wake these people up is another attack. And unfortunately, they just voted into power the party that will enable the next attack on America.
In my opinion, there are three things that must be done to counter this threat:
1. Military force, as in Iraq.
2. A massive campaign to counter the liars in the leftists media. (Something about a hundred times more focused than the Pap on Fox.)
3. Openly telling the truth about Islam.
If we don't do all three of these things we will be lost.
