YAY! Brit mentioned the FReeper poll on McCain .. woo hoo! You've got a broadcaster FRiend in DC, Jim .. ;)
McCain is in deep Macaca. the only way I think he can win likely Kerry won the dem nom is that it becomes Rudy vs. Romney and they start beating the crap out of each other like Gerphart and Dean did and they looks around for the "grow up".
I Voted! Stop McCain Bump!
Krauthammer said it best...."He's liked in the media, his problems are on the right".
My computer was cut off and I was watching Brit while polishing the furniture and I couldn't get on here fast enough. I got so excited and I knew you all would be discussing it. YEAH~~~
Excellent. I'm gonna' Tivo it tonight.
In any case McCrazy doesn't care, he doesn't think there should be any conservatives in the Republican party, and their opinions are all moot.
I was videotaping that segment when it happened. I was wondering if any of the other FReepers saw it. Hopefully someone got a screen capture. Woo Hoo!! bttt
The media saying that McCain would make a good Republican nominee is like a fox saying a coyote would make a good guard for the henhouse.
Based on informed rumblings here in the Phoenix area, he would not live to complete his first term. That and the rumors from the last 15 or so years of his POW improprieties, he will be killed by the press.
We can certainly do better than McLame.
If anyone is still tuned to Fox, just hit the "record" button on your TiVO and it will capture the past 30 or more minutes!
I'm glad you posted this. I will never vote for that man. God help us if it's him and Hitlery in the next presidential election.
"On April 15, 2005 --less than three months after President Bush had begun a second term won in part because of his pledge to fight for sound judges-- Senator McCain appeared on Hardball and announced he would not support the "constitutional option" to end Democratic filibusters. Then, stunned by the furious reaction, the senator from Arizona cobbled together the Gang of 14 "compromise" that in fact destroyed the ability of the Republican Party to campaign on Democratic obstructionism while throwing many fine nominees under the bus. Now in the ruins of Tuesday there is an almost certain end to the slow but steady restoration of originalism to the bench. Had McCain not abandoned his party and then sabotaged its plans, there would have been an important debate and a crucial decision taken on how the Constitution operates. The result was the complete opposite. Yes, President Bush got his two nominees to SCOTUS through a 55-45 Senate, but the door is now closed, and the court still tilted left. A once-in-a-generation opportunity was lost."
Hugh Hewitt
To quote a great American:
"John McCain, you treasonous bastard, . . . How dare you even think that you are qualified to sit in the oval office! Ronald Reagan's office! President? Hah! You miserable excuse for a two-bit political hack, you're not even qualified to shine Ronald Reagan's boots. If you do run, I'm afraid you're gonna be at least one vote short. It'll be a cold day in hell before a traitor like you ever receives my vote. And that's a campaign promise you can take to the bank."
Outstanding!!!
Yes, Kondrake and Krauthammer seemed to be pulling for McCain to be the nominee.
Figures.
I don't love McCain - but I'd surely vote for him in the general election against any Dem.
