I really don't think that McCain will live through a campaign. He would be a very bad risk healthwise.

We can certainly do better than McLame.

We could do NO worse. He is the last person I would ever vote for, Republican or defeatocrat.

So McCain's rediscovered love of Kyoto is common sense?
Or CFR/free speech is common sense? John will say so.

The media did the same thing to Bob Dole. "It's HIS turn" and "He deserves to run" were all media hype. Then they turned on Dole faster than Murtha accepted bribes.

McCain's deaf ears is just further proof he is out of touch with voters. He's a slave of the DC media whores and doesn't even know it.

Yes, Kondrake and Krauthammer seemed to be pulling for McCain to be the nominee.

Figures.

I really fear McCain's not healthy enough for this, in mind or body.

So who will it be? Rudy?Romney?Pawlenty?Newt?Huckabee?Frist?Brownback?Pataki? They have no chance. At the end of the day, McCain seems still the most viable candidate. Not right on everything but a lot to work with. Stay with this fratricidal attitude and we will get Hillary or Edwards in 08

You forgot that disclaimer:

"This shameless plug for McCain on FR was authorized by John McCain for President, and as a relative newbie, I'm happy to support that scumbag. - Red Philly - registered Oct 23, 2006."

Good, he will siphon more defeatocrat votes than Republican votes. NO real Republican could ever vote for him. To know him is to know to vote against him.

Patience. At this point in the 2000 cycle (i.e., 1998), where was George W. Bush on the GOP presidential candidate list?

Answer: he had just been re-elected governor of Texas and some people were starting to suggest he might deserve consideration. In other words, he was about where Pawlenty is now.

Gee, Bush sold the compassionate conservative bravo sierra and now McCain thinks the can peddle this?

One 'conservative' Yugo president is enough.

Yes, at least McCain hasn't got the liberal baggage of a Rudy Guiliani.

Of course neither has Hillary Clinton...

Also, did you notice how Fred Barns and Mort both agreed McCain was the darling of the MSM?

Have noticed reading here at FR for the past few days some here had predicted this would happen.

The GOP leaders and the MSM are going to try forcing McCain
upon us.
