Every year before the fall of the Soviet Union, a grand parade through Moscow's Red Square celebrated the "October Revolution" of 1918 that put the Bolsheviks in power. That revolution ushered in over 70 years of communist rule and world conflict by what Ronald Reagan described as "The Evil Empire." Because of a change to the Gregorian calendar after the 1918 revolution, the yearly parade was held on November 7.
By the eve of November 7, 2006, Democrats were celebrating their victory in the House. Two days later, they now control both House and Senate. Don't be surprised to see General Wesley Clark, backed by George Soros, George Soros backs Wesley Clark for President toss his hat in the ring for the 2008 presidential election.
When the Republicans took control of the House in 1994, the Democrats had held it for 40 years. After the initial reforms promised by the Contract for America, the Republicans succumbed to the heady arrogance of the power that had so long eluded them. There are many reasons or excuses for their failures, among them the determined opposition of the Democrat minority and for too many of them the willingness to choose power and self interests over their principles and duty. Republicans didn't deserved to win this last election, but this country certainly does not deserve what is coming. Who knows how long it will take this time for Republicans to regain power? Will it be another 40 years, 70 years, if ever? First they have to prove again that they deserve it.
The irony is how the Dems all of a sudden found their morals when it came to Republican Congressman Marc Foley (who, by the way, used to be a Democrat), when they, themselves have had and continue to have the most corrupt and perverted politicians this country has ever known. There still sits Barney Frank, whose paramour ran a male prostitution ring out of his home and former congressman Gerry Studds, who had sexual relations with a young male page. Not only did he laugh in the faces of his colleagues and the American people, but he was re-elected to Congress six more times, and the list of Democrat scandals go on and on. At least Republicans demand that their corrupt colleagues resign, and immediately, as in the case of Marc Foley. It 's clear that everyone in Congress knew that Foley was "Gay," (a corruption of a perfectly good English word)) but if Republicans had "outted" Foley, they would have been accused of "Gay Bashing." Once they went down the road of helping him stay in the closet, the Republicans couldn't win this one; they were sitting ducks for the hypocrisy of Democrat outrage.
President Clinton seduced a girl young enough to be his daughter, a president who was having oral sex in our sacred Oval Office. During his tenure, seven or eight middle-school kids were caught on a bus in the Arlington, Virginia school district, having oral sex. Their answer? "Well, the President does it." That oral sex became a subject at dinner tables across this country, on talk shows and among teachers and pre-teen students should have been Clinton's legacy. Instead, with the help of an adoring media and the inexplicable help of the Bush family, which afforded him honors while he routinely stabbed President Bush in the back, Clinton was rehabilitated. When Clinton was inaugurated in 1993, I got a call into C-SPAN and said, "I have been trying to figure out how this country could elect a womanizer, a draft dodger, a defender of baby killers, a protector of sodomites and a pot smoking liar. I have figured it out. The American people looked in the mirror, saw a reflection of themselves, and didn't see anything wrong." Incredibly, I was not cut off by Brian Lamb who was the host at the time. But the American people were more concerned with putting money in their pockets (It's the economy, Stupid!), than they were with the corruption of their children. Ironically, a good economy certainly didn't seem to resonate in this last election. The disgrace is that if Clinton could have had a third term, he would have been reelected.
Perhaps more than anything else the Republicans failed in this election because they, including President Bush, were unable to convince the American people of the dangers of Islamo-Fascism. President Bush only recently stopped referring to Islam as a religion of Peace and Compassion. No matter how many peaceful Muslim there are, people who only want to practice their religion, raise their families and have a better life, the driving force of their political and religious leaders is Jihad, world-wide Islamic domination. And they have learned to turn our freedoms against us.
What better ally did Democrats have as reported on Front Page Magazine of 27 October titled, "CAIR Betting on Democrats?" that writes, "But for officials of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) - the most visible group claiming to represent Muslims in America - their political loyalties appear to lean in one particular political direction. An extensive review of political contributions by CAIR officials, employees and board members on the local, state and national level reveals that CAIR is betting almost exclusively on Democrats to represent them political on Capitol Hill during the upcoming 110th Congress.
"......At present CAIR officials are content to liberally spread their campaign contributions to Democrats, apparently on the gamble that they will take one, if not both, chambers of Congress. Cynthia McKinney will be gone, of course, but Keith Ellison is certain to be there to carry the congressional water for radical Islam. With Democrats in control, CAIR is betting that they will be better represented on Capitol Hill in their self-proclaimed goal of eventual Islamic domination for America."
Columnist Don Feder wrote in his 26 October column, Kosovo: The War Dems Loved, that, "For 78 days in 1999, we bombed Christian Yugoslavia (our ally in two World Wars) to aid Moslem separatists who were tight with Osama bin Laden. Ever since, NATO has occupied its sovereign territory - with disastrous results.
"Appearing on CNN's "Late Edition" in August, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton offered her husband's 1999 adventure, over the ancient province of Kosovo, as evidence that Democrats are better at fighting wars than Republicans. (I would have thought Korea and Vietnam proved that conclusively.)
"We smashed the Serb war-machine, and 'we didnt lose a single American military person,' Hillary boasted of the conflict her draft-dodger hubby dragged us into. She neglected to mention that it was a war we fought from 30,000 feet.
"The party of McGovern and Dean is so proud of this notable feat of arms, that it invited Hashim Thaci, chieftain of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) and Clintons erstwhile ally, to attend the Democratic National Convention. (Youd think the Party in a Perpetual Fog would be at least a little curious about how Thaci got the nickname Snake. Hint: Its not because hes a patron of the arts.)
"On his return to Kosovo, Snake Thaci head of a terrorist gang that finances its operations through drug-running and prostitution proclaimed, 'It was confirmed once again that a Democratic administration would recognize and respect the will of the people of Kosovo for self-determination.' "Kosovo: The War Dems Loved,"
As a Pennsylvanian, I regret that this country lost a good and decent man in Rick Santorum. Unfortunately, many Americans of Serbian descent expressed anger because Santorum didn't do enough a decade ago on their behalf although he, more than anyone in the U.S. Senate saw the connection between Kosovo and the threat this country faces from Islamo-Fascists when he wrote his letter to Bishop Artemije on behalf of the Kosovo Serbs.) Senator Santorum's letter to Bishop Artemije Their punishment on Santorum? To vote back into power the same people who destroyed the Christian Serbs in the first place. I say this with sadness, but it needed to be said.
Now that the Dems are back, is this then to be God's punishment upon this nation for having turned our backs on Him?
