WASHINGTON, Nov. 15 One would think that after their biggest electoral triumph in about a decade, Democrats would finally break their usual postelection syndrome a November loss followed by recriminations, finger-pointing and infighting.
Representative Rahm Emanuel, above, at a caucus Wednesday, asked more support for Congressional races from Howard Dean, Democratic chairman.
Well, think again.
The Democrats are celebrating their big victory of Nov. 7 with recriminations, finger-pointing and infighting, no matter that they won control of the Senate and the House for the first time since 1994. --- They left money on the table, he said.
Asked whether Mr. Dean should step down, he responded, loudly, in the affirmative. He should be held accountable, Mr. Carville said.
In an interview later, he asked, Do we want to go into 08 with a C minus general at the D.N.C.?

I love the smell of liberals fighting in the morning.
But they seemed so unified,, and they won, right, who'da known of all the discord?
so where was the MSM on this story? oh that's right pimping the "truth" about the Republicans being corrupt, evil, whatever they could get by the censors and more..
a society to sick to see what ails it is a doomed affair. jmo
Carville and apparently a few others think that because Republicans won several close House races, that Democrats "should have" won those races. They somehow think that America has suddenly shifted to the left and they should have won 50 or more seats.
They are wrong.
This is still pretty much a 50-50 country. Dems were desperate to claim a majority out of this election and they didn't get it. Not because of what Howard Dean did or didn't do with the DNC's money, but because there simply isn't a groundswell toward the Democratic Party this year. Democrats won this time because of Republican corruption in the last two years.
I'm glad they hold this delusion, though. It will encourage them to overreach. If the Democrats in the House try to legislate as though they did win 50 seats, we will hand them their asses in 2008. It's obvious already that while Nancy Pelosi was perfectly willing to campaign against the "culture of corruption," she is unwilling to admit that this is the only reason she is going to be Speaker and not Minority Leader. If she "got it," she would have locked Jack Murtha and Alcee Hastings in a closet. She and her pals are still so sure of themselves and sure that America voted for their brand of liberalism and anti-war nuttery that they are going to try to cram it down our throats, just like they did from 1992-94.

Just a graphic display of dem finger pointing.
Please, its too close to lunchtime to see such horrors.
And, yes, I'd like to bend back that finger...but I'll bet that her husband has first dibs on that. Geez, can you imagine arguing with that shrill beotch? It must be almost as bad as what Bill's had to deal with over the years.
