Forget Hastings. RATS aren't that stupid, either.
"...surprise!, surprise! ... regardless of what they call it, DemocRATS will be "staying the course" much to the surprise of the clueless dufus' who voted for them because they promised to "get us out of Iraq". Hahahaha
Does anyone think Hillary isn't aware of this scenerio?:
"...Pulling out will endanger the Kurds, Iraqi reformers, the sanctity of U.S. pledges abroad, and the reputation of the American military for generations. It would be hard to believe Democrats want to someday read, as we do now of Vietnam, that we were close to stabilizing Iraq when the funding to do so was cut off. ..."
She will never allow the rest of the RATS to hang that baggage around her neck - sinking her like a stone for sure for the 2008 general election.

Well, that was the attitude that she bought into the Senate hearing this week, when she tried to grill that General and said "Hope isn't a strategy," and the general shot back; "Neither is depair."
Seeing that gave me one of the first glimmers of hope for 08, in that this woman doesn't know how to debate worth a damn. - what a slapdown!
Also that particular question, when she is clearly being directed by Clinton & Co. to keep a low profile and especially, keep her mouth shut so that she can claim a centrist position, and thereby defeat any "centrist" GOP candidate, does clearly show the mindset and views that no politician should show until after election. Kind of like being caught with your knickers down, to borrow a phrase...
