Of Course you are right. 6 years isnt very long for slitting a mans throat. There is little doubt in my mind this young man will turn into a career criminal. There is little doubt he will serve the better part of his life in one prison or another as after his release he will be looking for more victims.
However I will bet he was good to his grandmother and never gave her any cause to think he was a cold blooded killer. Thats life in Anacostia.
It is said of most cities that there are certain places you dont ant to go to. Georgetown isnt one of those places,its upscale, however that doesnt stop the Southeast residents from going over and making a score.
Georgetown may be "upscale", but it's not safe. I bet you can't even carry a concealed handgun for self-protection there, either. If so, it is a death trap...
A friend of mine knew the victims in this crime. The woman (whose name I can't recall right now) stopped speaking several weeks after this happened, once it all sank in. As in, she doesn't talk anymore. To anyone.
