Tell me, what state does Gingrich help us win that isn't already in our backpocket? Because, I'll be honest, I don't expect even Lincoln Chafee could lose Georgia as the Republican nominee. How in the world does Gingrich help us offset the inevitable loss of Ohio? I like Gingrich as much as the next guy, but he is simply not a viable option in 08. Too much baggage, too little in the way of strategic attributes to help us take the White House.
This is exactly what I was referring to in my last post. If you can sleep at night, you pick a candidate who can carry Michigan. I'll pick a candidate who can prevent a nuclear holocaust from occurring in my lifetime.
