An unemployed father of 15 who lives with his wife and mistress is demanding a larger council house after getting both women pregnant at the same time.
'Shameless' Mick Philpott
Mick Philpott claims that he cannot look after his women and children properly because they are crammed into a three-bedroom, semi-detached house.
The 49-year-old, who has been nicknamed "Shameless Mick" for the way he claims benefits and keeps adding to his brood, is understood to have agreed to a vasectomy earlier this year, but changed his mind.
He lives with his wife, Mairead, 25, the mother of four of his children – Dwayne, seven, Jesse James, six, John, three, and Jack, two. Also sharing their cramped home in Allenton, Derby – which costs him £70 a week in rent – is his mistress, 22-year-old Lisa Willis.
She is mother to Jade, four, Shareen, two, Katrina, one, and a baby son.
She also looks after Jordan, six, Mick's son from another relationship.
Mr Philpott also has six more children – David, 19, Richard, 18, Michaela, 15, Mikey, eight, Aidan, seven, and Joshua, one – who live elsewhere.
His wife and Miss Willis are both due to give birth in March.
Yesterday Mr Philpott said: "It's just one of those things that they have both fallen pregnant. I know I'll get some stick, but I'm prepared for it.
"People should know, before they attack me, that I pay all my council tax – all £712 of it."
He said he was "annoyed with himself" and vowed to go ahead with the vasectomy.
A friend added: "Mick had planned to have the snip because he couldn't face having any more kids in the house. But when the time came he backed out."
Mr Philpott is thought to have asked Margaret Beckett, the Foreign Secretary and his local MP, to help him move up the waiting list for a new house.
He said: "We're very cramped. When everyone is here there's nowhere to sit. I end up sleeping in a tent in the garden.
"We obviously need a new place, but the council won't give us one. They always come up with the same excuses. They're just not good enough.
"I used to love my country, but I'm just sick of it now. I'm really ashamed of what's happening. I think this country is going down the pan."
Mr Philpott, who used to run his own bakery but lost the business 15 years ago, last worked in July last year before losing his job as a driver.
He claimed his attempts to find work since then had been thwarted by his notoriety, adding: "When they realise who I am, that's it."
Mr Philpott and his wife, who has a part-time domestic assistant's job at Derbyshire Royal Infirmary, are thought to receive around £250 a week in family and child tax payments, plus a further £60 in child benefit.
Miss Willis, who insists she "gets on well" with her boyfriend's wife, receives around £160 in income support and £40 in child benefit.
Mr Philpott, who in 1978 was convicted of attempted murder after stabbing a teenager 11 times, said he could never choose between the two women and he loved them both.
He added: "What man wouldn't want two women?
"Some people call me a scrounger, but I'm not. I'm just a good father. I love my kids more than anyone and want to see them every weekend."
Derby city council confirmed it had received the family's request for a bigger house but said nothing suitable was available.

I'd say that this guy has a big brass pair, except for the fact that they're both obviously fully functional.
He's not working. He doesn't have to wait to the weekend to see his kids. He has all day to take care of them.
If he can't find a job, he can take care of the kids while "his women" work outside the home.
I have long believe that the horrific pathologies in the ghettos of America have much less to do with race than they do with socialism.

These are the kinds of people who support the British Nationalist Party... sticking up for their right to be lazy white people against the hard working British immigrant class that's paying the taxes and doing the jobs the English won't do.

Shameless Mick is the sort of person England needs in droves these days if there are to be any Englishmen left in a couple of generations. Bad work. The lack of generations is the problem.
