It was always the lesser of the evils. Not much choice now. A feckless mushy middle won't survive.
Very good. Now, everytime someone says they want to form a third party for 2008, remind them of this lesson.
"You won't find me criticizing freaks in the DNC and not the ones in the GOP."
Why not? There are so many DNC freaks, it's more than a full time job, and, seriously, the #2 spot is now a big deal...
quick who is #2 in the senate on the Dems side? Who likes him/her? who cares?
RINOs need Conservatives more than Conservatives need RINOs. ... a lesson you are about to learn.
I will take a lesser of all evils in 2008 before I see another Clinton in the White House. After the danger of the Clinton Machine is passed then I will be the first to vote for a conservative, principled candidate (if one appears).
LOL..................the past, old friend; the long ago past. :-)
"These numbnuts in Congress didn't lose because of the President "
Wrong ... the Democrat spent $100 million to win the House, and their Liberal special interest groups didnt spend that $100 million bashing just the Congress, they bashed the President and the war in Iraq as well.
That's horse dung!
The truth is that both need each other.
We need the evangelicals, who are 50% liberal in their voting. We need the Libertarians, we need the Hispanics, We need the Blacks, We need all right leaning voters, of all stripes! WE NEED ALL OF THEM.
Yet you want to make it about who is more right or wrong. This is why we lost last week. We do this argueing in the primaries, not the general. We get behind whoever wins the primary and elect them.
It is you who does not get it.
It is the democrats who are wrong, not any of us.
Get your enemy list straight, and then maybe we can go forward.
The biggest lesson any voter should learn is that Perot managed to peel off a significant number of GOP votes, thus giving this great country the first 4 years of Bill Clinton's presidency.
While the 2006 election will be remembered as the year when the Democrats won with no agenda whatsoever and a media bombardment of doom and gloom, "the Republican's did this and the Republican's did that" and everyone was treated to weeklong expose's of "Broken Government" specials, Clinton trying to reroute the path to 9/11, everyone being told by Mexico and the Vatican that the fence is a bad idea, the War On Iraq is a complete disaster, and mundane details like Bush hates blacks and is responsible for putting New Orleans underwater. We can sit here and blame Bush for all the problems, but he was no where on the ballot.
Congress spent more time trying to protect their turf, or being corrupt up to their gills, being hysterical when it wasn't necessary (Dubai Ports), and running away from the same guy who worked his ass off in the waning days of the campaign. The GOP coach was rallying the troops and the team stayed home. Karl Rove should be pi$$ed off. I wouldn't blame him.
Well, when John Q. Congresscritter doesn't return the phone calls of people like Suzie Voter, they better get a clue as to why it's harder than hell to raise money against left-winged special interest groups.
Quick?
It's been in the news all week: Hoyer.
Dick Turbin. Steny Hoyer is in the House.
Glory day. Thanks for voting him back in. Can do alot better with him in the leadership.
Okay............I misread.
And, yes, I knew Durbin was the Senate Whip.
It's a name game.
I'm proud to say I voted.. actually we had a very good turn out locally and all the R's (but the Governor) were elected/re-elected.
I voted too, and I'm proud that our county voted heavily in favor of Conrad Burns.
LOL, your answer is wrong, you gave the #2 in the House, not Senate. ... see what I mean?
Excellent rant!
... you need to add in an aside about Foleygate getting served up by the "CREW" of liberal opposition researchers who posed as 'ethical campaigners' and used the kind of campaign tactics that any real campaign would ashamed of using ...
