Really? I must have missed that excitement. The guys that I've met are basically harmless. Just some old coots telling stories at the bar. Everyone else probably suspects they are full of it as well.

My VN vet husband died 15 years ago, but even back then he was warning me about guys who lied about being in Nam, especially guys in wheelchairs looking for a handout, holding a 'VN Vet' sign. He used to talk to these guys and said most of them were frauds and to not give them any money. It's kinda sad to have to be so cynical, but there you are. These folks are despicable.
