O.J. Simpson to Tell FOX How He Would Have Killed Slain Wife Nicole

LOS ANGELES — FOX plans to broadcast an interview with O.J. Simpson in which the former football star discusses "how he would have committed" the slayings of his ex-wife and her friend, for which he was acquitted in a widely-watched trial, the network said.

The two-part interview, titled "O.J. Simpson: If I Did It, Here's How It Happened," will air Nov. 27 and Nov. 29, the TV network said.

Simpson has agreed to an "unrestricted" interview with book publisher Judith Regan, FOX said.

"O.J. Simpson, in his own words, tells for the first time how he would have committed the murders if he were the one responsible for the crimes," the network said in a statement. "In the two-part event, Simpson describes how he would have carried out the murders he has vehemently denied committing for over a decade."

The interview will air days before Simpson's new book, "If I Did It," goes on sale Nov. 30. The book, published by Regan, "hypothetically describes how the murders would have been committed."

In a video clip on the network's Web site, an off-screen interviewer says to Simpson, "You wrote 'I have never seen so much blood in my life.'"

Why anyone would even waste the time to interview him, much less put it on the air , is beyond me. Just goes to show, Fox is no better than any of the other media, just slanted differently sometimes.

Remember when OJ was universally known as a pleasant, likable guy. Seems like a million years ago.

Shame on FOX!!!!! --- to sell a book, you sell your "network's soul?"
____________

Networks don't have souls. They exist to make money. Period. All this, "but I thought Fox was different" exposes only one's naivete. This will be quite the cash cow for Fox, which is the only thing going into the decision to broadcast this "interview", which will make hard core porno seem a tad tame.

It would be interesting to hear from a body language 'reader'. While many of us find it discusting he is being given this forum I would guess the ratings are going to skyrocket. I mean, how many opportunities in life do we have to listen to and observe such a 'specimen' of criminality?

I don't know how healthy this will be for psyche of our society. Yet the curiosity of the former Psychology student in me is been raised.

...they ask the ONE GUY who has already been 'PROVEN INNOCENT'...

He wasn't proven innocent...he was found 'not guilty.' That means that the jury might have strongly suspected he was guilty, but didn't believe that the state proved its case beyond doubt.

Big difference between 'innocent' and 'not guilty.'

Why bother? We know how he would have done it. He would have sliced her to pieces with a large carving knife.

I did a spot on Fox back in 2004 promoting a book. I was thrilled my agent got me booked. He took some of the shine off all of this when he said, "Heck, 5 years ago, they were still booking NY prostitutes with their hard luck stories. They've only gone "legit" since 2001."

Look's like their cycling backwards again.

OJ SIMPSON broke down in tears while taping a TV special when he was asked to read a chapter from his new book recounting the night his wife NICOLE and her lover RON GOLDMAN were killed. As part of the US show, which will air at the end of this month (NOV06), Simpson is asked to read aloud a chapter from the book IF I DID IT, titled THE NIGHT IN QUESTION - and the request leaves him in tears. Simpson, who was acquitted of the brutal murders in 1995, sobs, "I can't do this. I can't have my kids hear me say this."

There is a nice mug shot of OJ from the night he was arrested. Can someone with know-how please post his booking photo here?

Isn't the Goldman judgement still active? OJ owes him so much money I would think that any proceeds from interviews and book sales would go to him.

I hear you, and understand your point very well.

BUT...

The "but I thought Fox was different" got FOX the ratings it has now.

When the TV goes off, because WE become more and more disgusted...there will less and less money to be made.

Example: NYT

I assume it is still active. It wouldn't surprise me if the contract is set up so that OJ's children get the proceeds directly, not OJ himself.

True. I was making a play on OJ's comment to that effect (or perhaps it was his spokesman) that he was 'proven innocent.' His 'as innocent as anyone else out there' comment didn't work with the rest of the sentence structure:)

What soul? I'm surprised they're not bringing psychics on the show to "channel" Nicole & Ron. Just a circus for the sake of ratings.

"O.J. Simpson's 19-year-old daughter was arrested in Jan. 2005 after she refused to stop yelling at officers who had been summoned because of a fight outside a basketball game involving her old prep school, police said.

Sydney Simpson was charged Saturday with resisting arrest without violence after she slapped an officer's hand while being taken in.

Two teenage girls told police that Simpson hit them in the face, but they declined to press charges, authorities said. CNN
