More on Murtha corruption:
Murtha's role in the culture of corruption also implicates Pelosi herself. Roll Call reported last year that Murtha "reportedly leaned on U.S. Navy officials to sign a contract to transfer the Hunters Point Shipyard to the city of San Francisco." Pelosi's nephew, Laurence Pelosi, was an executive of the company that owned the rights to the land. Roll Call also reported that Murtha has been behind millions of dollars worth of earmarks in defense appropriations bills that went to companies owned by the children of his fellow Pennsylvania Democrat, Rep. Paul Kanjorski.
Republican lawmakers say that ties between Rep. John Murtha (D-Pa.) and his brothers lobbying firm, KSA Consulting, may warrant investigation by the House ethics committee. KSA directly lobbied Murthas office on behalf of seven companies, and a Murtha aide told a defense contractor that it should retain KSA to represent it, according to the LA Times.
Too Late. They should have brought this up when they had the whip hand. Nothing will happen as long as Dems are in control. They'll thoroghly investigate all claims against Pubbies, and make sure they get weeks of front-page media coverage, but they'll never go after Dem corruption.
