Unfortunately, looks like this guy did have an FR account. And even more unfortunately, we had not caught him yet. Chasing down Marc Costanzo's IP address and other Internet footprints, looks like he had at least four earlier FR accounts, each of which had been banned. He was a "retread troll." It happens.

"and I think he thought of himself as one of their troops and wanted to live up to their standards." Nonsense! Ann Coulter would never condone sending fake anthrax.
To: Jim Robinson
It would be interesting to see what had got him banned in the past.

Cook said Castagana appeared to be admirers of conservative pundits Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin and Laura Ingraham. Aren't we all?
Now to expose MD4Bush.

What also needs to be pointed out is how often rabid left-wingers create accounts here and post in their warped ideal of a "lunatic right-winger" to put Free Republic in a bad light... Who is to say whether this freakshow really leaned left or right personally and how much he posted was real and fiction?
If he was BANNED FOUR TIMES FROM THIS SITE IN THE PAST then he obviously was trying to exploit your site for some frothing, rabid personal agenda that he knew was against your policies.

Just my luck to have used a final

Won't defend the guy. FR is still the best reading I've had. I "feel" good when I get my FR fix. Keep up the great work!

Meanwhile, Olbermann named Melanie Morgan the winner of his nightly "Worst Person in the World" award.
Ms Morgan had suggested that she'd have no problem with someone convicted of treason "being sent to the gas chamber."
Unfortunately the named person was not a Bush White House person or a conservative -- thus a fervid Olbermann issued the award.
And the daily death threats against Ms Morgan spiked, thank you Olbermass.

A few years ago a regular poster on Indymedia blew a police officer's brains out -- killed him -- put him in the ground for eternity. Do we ever hear about this nutcase? Does Keith Olbermann rise up in righteous indignation about him? Does anybody even remember the story of this savage, cold-blooded,
politically motivated slaying?
No -- nobody remembers and nobody mentions it. But some dude who sends nutjob letter threats -- a far cry from cop killing -- gets his half hour on cable thanks to Olbermann. And Olbermann gets to bash his enemies. And everybody in MainstreamMediaLand, where all the eeevvviiilll people are on the right, and all the saints are on the left, goes home happy.

I don't know why anyone would like to take Olbermann off the air. He's a perfect advertisement for liberal insanity. In fact the goofier the libs the better in my opinion. MSNBC did conservatives a favor when they cancelled Savage.

Well, whaddya gonna do. The forum is open to the public. You can't keep nuts from signing up to post any more than you can keep your local psychopath out of the grocery store---all you can do is throw them out when they act up.
It would be interesting to see his other four FR screen names, and the posts that got him banned.
It would also be interesting to know which other sites out there were graced with his presence. I'll bet there were quite a few (not that Olbermann cares).

""Ann Coulter and Malkin...sort of present a kind of rhetorical world view where they have their troops out there," Cook said, "and I think he thought of himself as one of their troops and wanted to live up to their standards."
- -That's funny. I've been reading Coulter and Malkin for several years and I don't ever recall them trying to encourage the formation of "troops" to savage and threaten those politicians whom they believe to be either stupid or hypocritical.
I do recall however that Coulter has been physically attacked, had her right to be heard shouted down by university wacko's and has received numerous threatening letters of the type that media outlets complain they received from this Castagana guy.
The hypocrisy of the media in trying to tie this guys actions into some sort of plot encouraged by Coulter, Malkin and Ingraham is breathtaking.
It's all part of the ongoing effort to muzzle and marginalize those who oppose the media's left wing agenda.
As an aside, I've noticed that the recent media talking points on Coulter is to refer to her whenever possible in their stories by consistently using the term, "crazy" so they can dismiss her views and reduce her influence.

(I'm not confused anymore. Now I'm sure we have to completely destroy Islam, and FAST!!)
Here are my thoughts on the subject.
Keith Olbermann is showing himself to be an absolute paranoid goofball. As he sees it, one bad apple is representative of the whole bunch.
What's even more concerning about this whole ordeal is that given his infleunce, he can very easily find some vulnerable state's attorney general and put that person in his pocket. This unforuntately seems to be the problem here in Oklahoma where we made a big mistake in re-electing one such person to another term.
As Keith and his kind see it, it's not Saddam or Al-queida that poses a National Security threat to this country. It's christians and conservatives who pose this threat.
What Mr. Olbermann has essentially done is branded everyone of us as terrorists or potential terrorists who need to be spied on. Apparently he seems to feel that it's his mission tp protect this nation from us.
This kind of B.S. and C.F. is why PMSDNC is contuining to and will continue to lose audience. Because of goofballs and sorry, lazy, miserable, good-for-nothing low life douche bags like Olbermann who are so damn chicken-hearted and scared of people with differing points of view than they have that somehow it's goverment's responsibility to protect them and this nation from these people.
These goofballs have absololutely no idea or concept of where the real terror threats to this country are coming from. G** help us that we make it through the next two years without any problems whatsoever.
Regards......

If even half of what is posted is true, the guy is a nutcase and should be locked up. No matter how much you may dislike someone, threatening harm on them isn't a smart or civilized thing to do.
