Maybe you are not familar with Les Kinsolving? He has been asking questions like this to the White House for years. But he is a good guy in my book for this reason:

Nevertheless, the question itself reveals a startling lack of knowledge and understanding about the operations of the two-party system within Congress. If I'm earning a living as a political reporter, this should be common knowledge. Otherwise, I'm just a loud-mouthed rabble-rouser wasting everyone's time.
It is much the same as Bab's lunatic rantings about checks and balances when one party holds the majority in both the Legislative and Executive branches. Party affiliation has nothing to do with the system of checks and balances as crafted within the Constitution.
I'm cracking up here reading these replies- doesn't everyone here realize that Kinsolving is the biggest smartass in DC? The guy is great! Lighten up, Freepers.
