At that point, Snow pulled out a document, but reporters initially didn't know what it was.

They're no doubt still mocking Snow for pulling out some old relic in a press conference, instead of the New York Times, for answers on how our government should run.

I don't get it. Why does it matter who has a technical majority? The Dems have an idealogical one. Forgive my political ignorance. =P

"How can the Democrats claim that they've got a majority if two of them were not elected as Democrats?" countered WND.

What a dumbass question. If you caucus with the Democrats you are functionally a Democrat even if you run as a Green, an Indepenent, or even a Monarchist.

The Constitution has been reduced to a prop. Unfortunately, how true.

actually, Snow is right. The Constitution is useless here except to allow the Senate to make up it's own rules.

The Democrats and Lieberman have decided to caucus with Socialist Bernie Sanders.

And my question, doesn't the president believe this 'Democrats claim everybody' theory should and could be tested in court?

What kind of stupid question is this?

WND is as hysterical as some leftist media with these inane questions. Of course leiberman etc. can caucas with whom they want, knowing darn well they are giving the DNC a majority.

"Is that Mao's Little Red Book?" another reporter suggested.

He must have thought he was at the Pelosi press conference.

Wow. Snow actually has a copy of the Constitution? I wonder if he's ever read it. If so, he might be the only one in DC that has..

Why am I not surprised that no one in the media recognized the United States Constitution.

"reporters initially didn't know what it was. "

Then they felt it's beams searing into their black hearts. Writhing and moaning... fear and panic ensued as terrified they fought one another in the struggle to escape.

The Constitution and the press?! That's like holding up a crucifix to Dracula.

I'm surprised Helen Thomas and a few others didn't burst into flames.

Very funny.

Reminds me of when Reagan brought in the entire tax code as a prop.

His support of the war is critical

Thanks Joe from all the GOP who voted for you

Can't believe all the posters here who fell for this phoney's BS

Mr. Snow had better be careful showing liberals the Constitution. This action is akin to showing Dracula a cross.

To: ovrtaxt; y'all
"-- I don't see anything here that has to do with party composition and the proper selection," Snow said, looking at the document. --"

He should have then referred them to Article I, Sec 5; -- "Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings;"...
-- And then referred them to Article VI:

"-- The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; --"

That's what they all ~really~ need to hear..
